Wolf Portrait

For the wolf portrait, work with shades of gray – use light gray for the lighter fur areas and dark slate gray for shading around the eyes and muzzle. The eyes look especially expressive with an intense amber yellow or orange-brown, framed by deep black. For the fine fur structures, a pencil or lighter colored pencils in multiple layers is recommended – this creates depth. The nose should be black, the tongue a subtle pink. Work layer by layer and follow the natural direction of the fur growth for a realistic effect.
